At first glance, this mural of a bear might seem like its nose is popping out of the building. Upon closer inspection, it’s actually just a clever optical illusion by street artist Okuda San Miguel.
Previously, the Madrid-based artist revived an abandoned church by turning it into a skate park. Now he’s set his sights – or paintbrushes, rather – on an apartment building in Hong Kong.
With his signature style of using geometric shapes and vibrant colour combinations, San Miguel transformed a drab wall into a massive illusion. He and his team made the artwork as part of the HKWalls Street Art Festival, and it only took four days to complete it.
