Whenever you text a ‘wrong number’, the last thing you’d expect is strangers visiting you on the day you deliver a baby. But that’s what happened to a new mum who accidentally invited people she’s never met to meet her child.

Lindsey Lashley had just given birth when a family member texted their friends in a group chat about the exciting news. One of the numbers, however, belonged to a Dennis Williams – a complete stranger.

‘We are at the hospital. Having a baby today!’ read the original message, to which Williams replied: ‘Congrats lol but I think someone got the wrong number’.

While most people would just brush off the conversation, both parties actually thought it would be a great idea…
