While plenty of establishments frown upon public breastfeeding, one Sydney café is encouraging it – even offering a free cup of tea to mums who do so!
The Willows Café in the suburb of Willoughby has started a progressive initiative, inviting breastfeeding mums to come in. A sign at the front reads: “Breastfeeding mum. Pop in and have a FREE cup of tea if you need a pit stop. No need to eat, no need to ask, please relax. Willows.”
Natala Bain, the café’s owner and a mum herself, said that tackling the stigma in her own little way has heaped praises. Most come in not for the tea, but to thank her for the thoughtful signage.
“It’s been very popular,” she told Mail Online. “We’re just letting breastfeeding mothers …
