Everyone has a friend with a distorted impression of their own appearance, in fact it’s something that we can all relate to at least a little.
Regardless of how we look, at some point or another everybody is guilty of being harsh on themselves. It’s frustrating at the best of times, but when you encounter a person who is truly blind to their own beauty then that is a tragedy.
That was how photographer Emily Stein felt when she met Nora, a 73-year-3old woman with a rollercoaster life story and a hugely warped image of herself.
Nora has lived in multiple European capitals and worked as everything from architect to housewife, making her way through at least four husbands, all the while unaware of how she actually looks.
