When Marjorie Tyrie from Kent, England, dialed the Lotto helpline to claim a £1000 prize, she didn’t expect she’d be a millionaire by the end of call.
But the 58-year-old apparently mixed up her zeroes, and got the big news from a phone operator named Raj.
‘Oh hello, I’ve got an email saying I’ve won, I think it’s £1000 or something’, she said. ‘I’ve just come home from work checking my emails and I thought I’ve got another Lucky Dip. Is it on that raffle thing maybe?’
Raj then told her she didn’t win £1000. Instead, she won £1 million.
