High-end fashion and mathematics collide in Fashematics

There are a few unlikely combinations that just work: salt and caramel, chilies and chocolate, strawberries and balsamic vinegar. Adding to that unlikely list is mathematics and high-end fashion.
Artist Jonathan Zawada has an ongoing project titled Fashematics that examines where the inspiration for some runway pieces might come from.
It’s tongue-in-cheek, though sometimes the mathematical combinations seem a little too believable as inspiration for the wearable art pieces.
Seahorses, mushrooms, Nintendo, jellyfish, sushi and Mr Men characters all become equations to form some of the most recognisable fashion houses’ questionable collections.
