This gives a whole new meaning to the words ‘comfort food’. Brooklyn-based designer Isabella Giancarlo sweetens bitter feelings by turning break-up lines into desserts.
In her project ‘Eat Your Heart Out’, she bakes tasty treats with painful parting lines written on top. One photo shows cookies spelled out to form the ever so cliché quote ‘We can still be friends’.
‘Break-ups are often so fraught with awkwardness, clichés, and lines that stay with us long after they’ve been said’, she told BuzzFeed. ‘Part therapy, part poetry, through “Eat Your Heart Out” I sought to sweeten words that initially took my appetite away’.
