Shortly after moving to London from Tennessee to attend school, Dalton Ross realised his family must already miss him. So he sent his mum Susan Talley a life-sized cardboard cutout of himself.
‘I was settling in and wasn’t talking to my mom as much’, the Belmont University student told The Huffington Post. ‘So, I thought it would be funny if she got an unexpected package that was a life-size version of me’.
He believed his mum would just ignore the cutout, but he was wrong. She actually went along with the joke!
Susan took his cardboard version everywhere, to family dinners, to basketball games, to their recent Easter egg hunt. She even tucks it in bed and pretends to read it a bedtime story!
