Artist makes rugs that make you feel like you’re in a forest

Argentinian artist Alexandra Kehayoglou creates rugs that not only make you feel at home, but also like you’re in a grassy meadow or a mossy forest.

Using leftover fabrics from her family’s carpet factory in Buenos Aires, Alexandra makes hand-tufted rugs that pay tribute to the picturesque yet quickly disappearing landscapes of Argentina. Each rug is unique, containing different textures and colours, mimicking grass, moss, trees, and meadows.

It’s certainly an unconventional way of adding more greenery to your home. And better yet, you won’t have to water your ‘plants’.

Alexandra graduated with a degree in visual arts before eventually returning home to continue the legacy of her family’s craft.
