Paying homage to Ernest Hemingway’s classic The Old Man and the Sea, graphic designer Nina Cornelison redesigned the novel in a most clever way.
Instead of wrapping the book with a jacket, she put it inside a sardine tin – a witty reference to the tale’s nautical theme!
Once you peel back the lid, you’ll meet a minimalist design inspired by vintage travel posters. Its colours, meanwhile, reflect Cuba, where the plot is set. Props to Cornelison if its pages also smell like sardines!
