Last July, Norma became widowed after 67 years of marriage, and was diagnosed with uterine cancer. When doctors sat her down to go through different kinds of treatment, Norma’s response probably wasn’t like any they had heard before. ‘I’m 90 years old’, she said. ‘I’m hitting the road’.
And that’s how Driving Miss Norma, a blog and Facebook page about Norma’s travelling bucketlist, came about.
Instead of staying home, Norma, her son Tim, her daughter-in-law Ramie, and a poodle packed up a 36-foot RV and took off across the United States.
