The idea of watching classic movies outside isn’t unique, but watching them in a famous cemetery surely is! And that’s exactly what goes on in one of Los Angeles’ most iconic resting places.
The Hollywood Forever Cemetery is home to more stars than anywhere in the world, as the final resting place of Cecil B. DeMille, Jane Mansfield, Rudolph Valentino, and hundreds of other silver screen stars.
But alongside the tombstones is an outdoor cinema known as Cinespia which has been operating since 2002. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnics for movie nights (including wine and beer), and there’s a DJ on-site to kick up the heat before and after screenings (Elijah Wood has been a guest DJs).
