Nutrition Medicine combines medical, nutritional and natural therapies to provide biochemically specific programs for you. Each program is designed specifically for each individual, It is comprehensive and is designed to assist you for life.
The initial consultation takes approx 2 hours and consists of a detailed health, family and nutritional history. A physical examination and body composition analysis is then carried out where nutritional signs are assessed and your muscle to fat ratio is determined. Once this is carries out a specific eating plan is developed and if necessary nutritional support with professional quality supplements is suggested. Pathology testing may also be suggested and as most of the tests are not covered by Medicare it is the clients responsibility to pay for these, where tests are covered by Medicare we ask that your Medical Practitioner order the tests. We also take a look in your fridge and cupboards and discuss with you what needs to change.
Follow up appointments are scheduled weekly to monthly - depending on your circumstances. Some people like to be seen weekly for that extra support as they make the transition from one eating regime to the new one. Follow up appointments include a body composition analysis so that we can monitor how you are responding to the new eating regime and dietary asessment.
